Can you find ships on satellite images as quickly as possible? Airbus just announced a Kaggle competition to challenge researchers to build a model that detects all ships in satellite images. The goal is to increase the accuracy and speed of automatic ship detection.
While the competition is evaluated on the F2 Score at different intersection over union (IoU) thresholds, it also offers an Algorithm Speed Prize to encourage participants to develop the fastest running algorithm that will still produce accurate results. The speed prize will be open to the top performing teams on the leaderboard.
