This year the Signal Processing Society identified 8 Chapters who exhibited excellence in many facets of chapter management, member recruitment, and activities.

In 2013, the Signal Processing Society implemented the Chapter Certification program, which rewards Chapters who provide outstanding service to both their members and to the Society with multiple benefits. Each year, the Regional Activities Committee reviews dozens of self-evaluations from SPS Chapters around the world, granting certification to only those Chapters with extraordinary organization and management; diverse and dynamic meetings, speakers, and events; and innovative membership development programs.
