As we celebrate Women’s History Month, the Women in Signal Processing (WISP) Committee of the IEEE Signal Processing Society is excited to showcase our ongoing initiatives and highlight the contributions of women to the field. 

A new podcast from the IEEE Signal Processing Society brings together industry experts, thought leaders, and innovators for a deep dive into all things signal processing.

These members have demonstrated outstanding professional performance, exhibited professional maturity through long-term experience, and established themselves as leaders in their respective IEEE-designated fields of interest. 

The Signal Processing Society (SPS) has 12 Technical Committees that support a broad selection of signal processing-related activities defined by the scope of the Society.

The IEEE Workshop on Applications of Signal Processing to Audio and Acoustics (WASPAA) is a highly-regarded bi-annual event hosted by the Audio and Acoustic Signal Processing Technical Committee (AASP-TC) of the IEEE Signal Processing Society since 1986.

Mathews Jacob is a professor in the Department of ECE at the University of Virginia. His research interests include computational medical imaging. He received a B.Tech from National Institute of Technology Calicut, M.E from the Indian Institute of Science, and Ph.D. from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.

IEEE SPS has built a streamlined mechanism for employers to add a job announcement by simply filling in a simple job opportunity submission Web form related to a particular TC field. To submit job announcements for a particular Technical Committee, the submission form can be found by visiting the page below and selecting a particular TC.

The IEEE Transactions on Multimedia is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Multimedia Prize Paper Award. Nominations are due no later than 31 March 2025.

Dr. Shoko Araki is a Senior Research Scientist at NTT Communication Science Laboratories, NTT Corporation, Japan, where she is currently leading the Signal Processing Research Group.
