WIFS 2012 issues Call for Demonstrations

The IEEE Workshop on Information Forensics and Security (WIFS) is one of the primary venues for publishing innovative researches in information security and digital forensics. Its fourth edition comes to reinforce this position, keeping the main characteristics of the workshop and adding new elements such as the demonstration session that will be allocated in the workshop programme. The goal of this session is to encourage applied research, as well as facilitate knowledge exchange between industrial and academic members of the information forensics and security community. Demonstrations in all application areas identified in the conference's main call for papers are welcome. In particular, new prototype implementations that can be showcased to a wide audience are encouraged.

Submission information:

Prospective presenters in the demonstration session are required to submit one abstract, which must be 1-2 pages long including images, hyperlinks to demo previews and other references. The abstract will clearly identify at least:

  • The technology to be demonstrated and its novelty
  • Interactivity with the audience, if any
  • The equipment provided by the demonstrator
  • The equipment required at the place of the demo

Abstract submissions

Abstracts submitted in response to this call will be evaluated by a committee formed by technical experts from academia and industry. Demonstrations will be selected on the basis of their technical quality and their potential interest for attendees of WIFS’12. Interactive demonstrations will be very positively considered.

The selected demonstrations will be presented during the demo session to be held in WIFS’12. At least one full registration (non-student rate) per demonstration will be required. A stand (to be manned by the presenter), power supply and internet connection will be provided at no cost during the demo session. Demonstrations can be also be permanently showcased in a stand for the whole workshop duration if formalized through any of the supporting modes available for WIFS’12 (Information for supporters).

Abstracts for prospective demonstrations should be emailed to the industrial liaison at demos@wifs12.org
