News and Resources for Members of the IEEE Signal Processing Society

August 2011

The Publications Board of the IEEE Signal Processing Society oversees the health and quality of our journals and enforces the highest scholarly and ethical standards. Prof. Ali H. Sayed, Vice-President Publications, is glad to share with the SPS members the wonderful news that our efforts towards enhanced quality and performance are paying off, as evidenced by various metrics. The 2010 results show that our IEEE Signal Processing Magazine continues to rank first in terms of its impact factor among all publications in the Electrical Engineering field for the second year in a row. The IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing ranks fifth among all EE Journals in Total Citations.

The IEEE SPS Technical Committee on Multimedia Signal Processing is now inviting proposals to host the IEEE International Workshop on Multimedia Signal Processing (MMSP) in 2013. The submission deadline is September 15, 2011.
