IEEE JAMES L. FLANAGAN SPEECH AND AUDIO PROCESSING AWARD to BIING-HWANG JUANG (FIEEE) — Motorola Foundation Chair Professor and GRA Eminent Scholar, Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

SPS is looking for a lead volunteer to Chair an effort to organize, represent and improve Information Technology services and tools for the Signal Processing Society (SPS), with high visibility and interactions with other Societies.

SPS is delighted to announce the launch of SigView, its flagship online video library.

Title: Marie Curie Researcher (Optical Engineering and Image Processing)

Two  postdoctoral imaging researchers to develop new translational applications in cardiovascular imaging are needed.

The SPS Awards Board is now accepting nominations for 2013 major SPS awards.

Your vote is important! The election of Members-at-Large (term 1 January 2014 through 31 December 2016) and the Directors-at-Large for Regions 7 & 9 and Region 10 (term 1 January 2014 through 31 December 2015) of the IEEE SPS Board of Governors is now open. Ballots must be received at IEEE no later than 30 August 2013 in order to be counted.

As of June 2013, two new Signal Processing Society Cahtpers were formed.

The IEEE Member and Geographic Activities Board approved a motion that limits the number of years any one individual may serve in any one geographic unit officer position.

To fulfill its role, the IEEE Foundation awards grants to new and innovative projects and administers more than 130 funds that support a variety of educational, humanitarian, historical preservation, and peer recognition programs of IEEE units.

All new higher-grade IEEE members are invited to participate in a New Member Orientation session designed to help members get the most out of their membership.

The Signal Processing Education Network (SPEN) was created to break away from traditional education approaches and build a new framework where a vibrant network of educators and students collaborates to unify and strengthen the SP curriculum,

make it more open and interactive, and share best practices.

The Audio and Acoustic Signal Processing (AASP) Technical Committee promotes the advancement of technologies and applications in audio and acoustic signal processing and enhances interaction with similar organizations within IEEE and throughout the world.
