Nominations are due 15 January annually for the IEEE Technical Field Awards (TFAs). Download nomination forms and award-specific criteria.

Data Competitions are a great way to engage the global technical community to provide insight and analysis on your research data. IEEE DataPort is holding its inaugural Data Competition contest. As part of the contest, IEEE DataPort will select three Data Competitions to sponsor, providing $5000 in cash prizes for the winners of the three selected Data Competitions.

IEEE SPS has built a streamlined mechanism for employers to add a job announcement by simply filling in a simple job opportunity submission Web form related to a particular TC field. To submit job announcements for a particular Technical Committee, the submission form can be found by visiting the page below and selecting a particular TC.

The Signal Processing Society (SPS) has 12 Technical Committees that support a broad selection of signal processing-related activities defined by the scope of the Society.

The IEEE Signal Processing Society has developed guidelines related to SPS Chapter social media and Chapter Activities.

The 2022 Membership Renewal year has begun and 1st notice renewal bills were mailed to members on October 1st. Members are encouraged to renew early online. On the membership renewal site, members can explore an interactive catalog of 2022 offerings and customize their renewal.

EEE Fellow is the highest grade of membership of the IEEE. It honors members with an outstanding record of technical achievements, contributing importantly to the advancement or application of engineering, science and technology, and bringing significant value to society.

The 2022 International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, & Signal Processing (ICASSP) invites proposals for its Signal Processing Grand Challenges (SPGC) program. ICASSP is the IEEE Signal Processing Society’s flagship conference targeting signal processing and its applications.

Adaptive (i.e., data-driven) methods have become very popular these last decades. Among the existing techniques, the empirical mode decomposition has proven to be very efficient in extracting accurate time-frequency information from non-stationary signals.

Dr. Henrique Malvar is a Fellow of the IEEE and a Member of the US National Academy of Engineering. He is a Distinguished Engineer at Microsoft Research, having previously served as Managing Director of the largest Microsoft Research Lab in Redmond, WA. Prior to joining Microsoft in 1997, he was Vice President of Research and Advanced Technology at PictureTel Corporation. Prior to that he was a professor at University of Brasilia.

I received my Ph.D. degree from University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles, CA. Currently I am an Associate Professor and Associate Head of Information Systems Technology and Design (ISTD), Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). I have been an active researcher in the field of Image Processing and Computer Vision. My research has resulted in 14 U.S. patents granted with several pending. Two of my inventions have been licensed to companies.
