Electrical Engineer - Digital Signal Processing, Halliburton Energy Srvc., Inc.

Location: Houston, Texas

Job Details: We are looking for experts in electrical engineering specializing in digital communications, signal processing and high power/low power electronics. As a subject matter expert, you are expected to contribute to all aspects of a major corporate R&D thrust to become leaders in downhole data communications technology. This is a job for someone who enjoys trading off complex, highly interdependent variables and makes timely decisions.  You will actively participate in a multi-disciplinary effort where you will provide your analytical and signal processing expertise to improve channel capacity utilizing innovative sensing and processing technology. You are expected to develop new architectures and methodologies to increase the overall system robustness. A demonstrated track record of successfully solving highly complex technical problems and an open-mindset with innovative approaches to complex problems are must. You are expected to generate significant intellectual property.

Requirements: At a minimum, completion of a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or similar discipline is required.  Completion of a PhD is preferred. Skills and experience in circuit design, hardware/firmware implementation, noise analysis, signal acquisition, signal conditioning, and sensor interfaces, are definite pluses.  Experience in prototype development and testing, and demonstrated experience in providing innovative solutions is preferred.
