In accordance with the Bylaws of the IEEE Signal Processing Society, the membership will elect, by direct ballot, THREE Members-at-Large to the Board of Governors for three-year terms commencing 1 January 2022 and ending 31 December 2024, as well as TWO Regional Directors-at-Large for the corresponding regions: Regions ​7&9 (​Canada & Latin America) and Region 10 (Asia & Pacific) for two-year terms commencing 1 January 2022 and ending 31 December 2023.

The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) is honored to announce the elevation of 183 of its members to the grade of IEEE Senior Member. These members have demonstrated outstanding professional performance, exhibited professional maturity through long-term experience, and established themselves as leaders in their respective IEEE-designated fields of interest.

A new Challenge on self-awareness in heterogeneous multi-robot systems has been organized within the first International Conference on Autonomous Systems (ICAS 2021).

IEEE Signal Processing Society Past President Ali H. Sayed, in his capacity as Chair of the Society’s Nominations and Appointments Committee, invites nominations for the IEEE Signal Processing Society Officer positions of President-Elect for the term 1 January 2022-31 December 2023 and Vice President-Technical Directions for the term 1 January 2022-31 December 2024.  Nominations must be received no later than 12 March 2021

2021 Multimedia Prize Paper Award Nomination Period is Open. Any paper published in T-MM in 2018, 2019, or 2020 is eligible. Judging shall be on the bases of originality, subject matter, timeliness, potential impact, and presentation quality.
