Research Opportunities

The Signal Processing for Communications and Navigation Group (SPCOMNAV), Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, seeks a post doctoral researcher to contribute to the activities of the group related to GNSS (GPS, Galileo) signal processing. These activities cover a broad range of topics: techniques for high-sensitivity applications, computationally efficient algorithms for snapshot architectures, signal-level integrity, software receiver for high-order BOC signals, etc.

The University of Texas at San Antonio is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to be part of an interdisciplinary research alliance (Cognition and Neuroergonomics Collaborative Research Alliances (CNACTA)) working to develop data analysis and management methods and tools for mobile brain/body imaging data in support of a research program in neuroergonomics (the study of the brain and body at work).

The Centre for Ultrahigh bandwidth Devices for Optical Systems (CUDOS) group at the University of Sydney currently has a vacancy for an experienced researcher in the field of optical signal processing for coherent communication systems working in the Terabit per Second (Tb/S) flagship project.

Now IEEE SPS has built a streamlined mechanism for employers to add a job announcement by simply filling in a simple job opportunity submission Web form at the related TC section pages.

To submit job announcements for a particular Technical Committee, the submission form can be found by visiting the page below and clicking on a particular TC. A link for the form can be found in the sidebar menu of the TC pages. Jobs can also be viewed from its individual TC pages or a combined listing that includes all TC jobs.

Requirements:
The successful candidate should have a PhD or equivalent experience in related field of science/engineering with specific experience with wireless embedded systems. You should good quantitative and analytical skills and a willingness to work in a collaborative working environment.

Duration of post: 3 year fixed term contract

Deadline for Applications: 6 August 2014

The Alpen-Adria Universitaet is seeking to make the following appointment:

PreDoc Scientist (in German: Universitätsassistent/in) in Embedded Communication Systems

Starting date: as soon as possible.

Duties and Responsibilities

Positions available for outstanding theoretical researchers with high impact publications in IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing and similar quality journals to work on signal processing and communications for smart grid and sensor networking problems. Send vita with names of three references, a research plan, and sample publications to rblum(at)Lehigh(dot)edu
