Signal Processing Society Launches GlobalSIP Conference

GlobalSIP is a new flagship conference launched by the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) in 2013. The focus of GlobalSIP is on signal and information processing and up-and-coming signal processing themes.

The conference is composed of multiple co-located symposia, each with its own poster track for paper presentations, and invited plenary talks. The poster sessions for all symposia are co-located and the plenary talks are aligned into two parallel oral tracks.

The first GlobalSIP conference will be held in Austin, Texas, from December 3-5, 2013. Austin is the capital of Texas and is home to a vibrant live music scene, outstanding dining, many recreational opportunities, and of course The University of Texas at Austin. The following symposia were selected to be included in GlobalSIP 2013. Each symposium is actively soliciting your high quality papers.

You can learn more about GlobalSIP 2013 at the website: http://www.ieeeglobalsip.org/. The paper submission deadline was just extended to June 15, 2013 (from June 1) to allow time for ICASSP participants to finalize their papers. If you are interested in getting involved and contributing to GlobalSIP, please contact the organizers (email: drb@wpi.edu, rheath@utexas.edu, tewfik@austin.utexas.edu).
