The next IEEE Workshop on Spoken Language Technology (SLT 2018) will be held in Athens, Greece, on Dec 18-21, 2018 (www.slt2018.org).
The main theme of the workshop will be "Spoken Language Technology in the Era of Deep Learning: Challenges and Opportunities". SLT2018 will host the Microsoft Dialogue challenge as well as the panel on "Dialogue Models and Systems: from Research Labs, to the Cloud to Your Living Room" and a special session on Deep Learning based Speech Synthesis. SLT2018 will be honored by distinguished keynote (Alex Acero from Apple, Dimitra Vergyri from SRI and Spyros Raptis from Innoetics) and invited speakers (Petros Maragos from NTUA and Karen Livescu from TTIC).
