August 2010

The election of Members-at-Large (term 1 January 2011 through 31 December 2013) and the new Directors-at-Large (term 1 January 2011 through 31 December 2012) of the IEEE SPS Board of Governors is now open. This year's election offers SPS members the opportunity to cast their votes online. Ballots must be received at IEEE no later than 1 September 2010 in order to be counted.

The Steering Committee for the IEEE International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging (ISBI) is inviting proposals for ISBI 2013, 2014 and 2015.

The Technical Committee on Information Forensics and Security (IFS-TC) of the IEEE Signal Processing Society is inviting proposals for the third offering of its flagship workshop (WIFS 2011). Full proposals must be sent by email no later than September 20th, 2010.

The Banff International Research Station for Mathematical Innovation and Discovery is hosting a 49-week scientific program in 2012. The deadline for 5-day Workshop and Summer School proposals is September 27, 2010.

The Nominations and Appointments Subcommittee for each Technical Committee will be seeking nominations for new Members, as well as the Vice Chair position for some Technical Committees.
