The TAB Hall of Honor Selection Committee is accepting nominations for recipient(s) to be inducted into the “TAB Hall of Honor”.

The final 2013 recipient(s) will be determined by the IEEE Technical Activities Board at the November 2013 meeting. The deadline is 3 May 2013.

The "TAB Hall of Honor" has been established to honor those persons, living or deceased, who have made one or more major contribution(s) to IEEE Technical Activities. Contributions include the creation, development, or advancement of the technical objectives of the IEEE.

Nominations are due 1 July 2013 for the 2014 IEEE Medals and Recognitions.

IEEE Medals are the highest recognition within the IEEE awards hierarchy, with the prestigious IEEE Medal of Honor as the premier award. IEEE Medals embrace broad and significant contributions within the technical fields of interest of IEEE.

All new higher-grade IEEE members are invited to participate in a New Member Orientation session designed to help members get the most out of their membership.

How to recognize those who deserve the honor? How to address all the aspects of fairness and conflict of interest? The IEEE SPS Executive Committee (ExCom) decided to tackle this award-and-recognition issue on two fronts: the nomination process and the selection process. It is believed that only through a right and just process can we bring about the prestige and respect of an award!

Our SPS member and former President José M.F. Moura was newly elected to the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) for his contributions to the theory and practice of statistical signal processing.

The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) invites nominations for the position of Awards Board Chair. The term for the Awards Board Chair position will be three years (1 January 2014-31 December 2016).

Nominations must be received no later than 1 March 2013. Full details can be found on the Society’s website.

Volunteers are invited to serve as corporate officers, committee chairs and committee members.

Nominations for the Fellow Class of 2014 are now being accepted. The deadline is 1 March 2013.
