Society Chapters Listing Report

Source: IEEE Chapter Briefs - March/April 2012

The Society Chapters Listing Report provides contact information for those Society Chapters whose chapter chair position is currently active.  This roster is available on the Technical Activities Roster page at:   http://www.ieee.org/go/ta_roster .  In order to access this roster you will need to login using your IEEE account.

Inactive Chapters
IEEE Member and Geographic Activities Department monitors the activity level of Affinity Groups and technical Society Chapters with meeting reports (L31).  If your chapter is currently inactive, simply have a meeting and report your activity to reactivate your chapter.  Society Chapters are required to report a minimum of two technical meetings, and Affinity Groups must report a minimum of two meetings, of any type, each year.

Dissolved Chapters
Chapters/Affinity Groups that have not reported any meetings for a minimum of three consecutive years will be put on probation to be dissolved.  Once a Chapter has been dissolved, the process to form a new chapter must be utilized to reinstate the chapter.    To obtain information on how to form a new chapter please visit:   http://www.ieee.org/about/volunteers/tab/creating_a_chapter.html
