Job Details:

    • Will Be a member of the Bio-inspired Technologies and Systems Group, in Flight Electronics and Software Systems Section, and will report to the Group Supervisor. Will be a technical contributor providing expertise to existing team efforts, including insight and direction towards the development of new technologies and their applications.
  • Will be responsible for design and development of electronic circuits with a focus on mixed signal analog/digital circuits rendered as integrated circuits, hi-density-interconnect hybrids as well as printed circuit boards. Responsible for device evaluation and characterization, circuit analysis, test and support equipment design, prototype construction and checkout, electronic subsystem and system architecture, development of requirements and specification, development of advanced technology for use in electronics components and systems, preparation of test methods and specifications; analysis of equipment to establish operating data and experimental tests; preparation of documentation and user information; research, development, design, and tests of electronic components, equipment, technology, and systems.
  • Conduct all aspects of complex signal processing synthesis and test on designs rendered as full custom ASICs and FPGA.
  • Lead and conduct studies concerning various aspects of computer architecture and/or digital systems such as embedded processing, memory and built-in-self-test. • Will be an active participant in concept development, technology trade studies, feasibility assessments, system analysis and trade-offs, component/system failure analysis and investigation.
  • Will be responsible for proposal generation, program status reports, customer/sponsor interchanges, design reviews and financial/schedule updates.
  • Perform all necessary aspects of facilities (laboratory and work area) maintenance, safety, information/hardware security and personnel security.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline with typically a minimum of 6 years of related experience; Masters degree in similar disciplines with a minimum of 4 years of related experience; or PhD in similar disciplines with a minimum of 2 years related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge in the following areas: general programming C+, TCL, and working knowledge with Linux required.
  • Extensive understanding and wide application of advanced principles, theories, concepts and techniques in full-custom integrated circuits and FPGA development from top-level requirements, to VHDL or RTL generation, route, back-annotation and test-vector generation required.
  • Experience with schematic capture and layout using CADENCE for monolithic designs and ORCAD, ALTIUM for discrete designs is required.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • SSBI or equivalent within the past two years is required.
  • Willingness to apply for additional clearances is required
