Technical Committee News

The Spring 2012 edition of the IEEE Speech and Language Processing Technical Committee’s Newsletter is now online.

The Information Forensics and Security Technical Committee (IFS-TC) of the IEEE Signal Processing Society promotes scientific and educational activities within the broad scope of multimedia security.

The Nominations and Appointments Subcommittee for each Technical Committee is currently seeking nominations for new Members, as well as the Vice Chair position for some Technical Committees. Nominations for both positions should be submitted directly to each Technical Committee’s Nominations and Appointments Subcommittee.

Speech and Language Technical Committee (SLTC) is part of the IEEE Signal Processing Society, aiming to promote and influence technical areas related to speech and language processing and (speech-to-speech) machine translation.

The Winter 2012 edition of the IEEE Speech and Language Processing Technical Committee's Newsletter is now online.

The Bio Imaging and Signal Processing Technical Committee (BISP TC) of the IEEE Signal Processing Society (IEEE-SPS) promotes activities within the broad technical areas of biomedical and biological signal and image processing.

In this issue of the SAM newsletter, we report on recent awards related to our field and give an outlook on SAM 2012.

The SPTM TC has elected 7 new members from 2012. The IEEE Workshop on Statistical Signal Processing 2011 (SSP2011) was successfully held in Nice France.

The DISPS TC has the mission "to promote and support activities of the IEEE Signal Processing Society in the areas of: i) Design, development and implementation of signal processing systems; ii) Design of algorithms with implementation in mind and iii) the Design of software tools and methodologies to support the design of signal processing systems".
