The Signal Processing Society (SPS) has 12 Technical Committees and 3 Special Interest Groups (SIGs) that support a broad selection of signal processing-related activities defined by the scope of the Society. Technical Committees and Special Interest Groups are actively involved in awards, conferences, publications, and educational activities, and provide technical advice to the Society's leadership.
The IEEE Signal Processing Society welcomes proposals from prospective organizers of 2018-2019 winter schools under the S3P (Seasonal Schools in Signal Processing) Program. S3P seasonal schools are typically either summer schools or winter schools, and are geared towards providing graduate students, early stage researchers, and practitioners with background on selected topics in signal processing.
We encourage applications from outstanding candidates with strong academic backgrounds in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering and related fields. At Inria we seek to increase the number of women in areas where they are underrepresented and therefore explicitly encourage women to apply.
The IEEE Signal Processing Society invites nominations for the new SPS Distinguished Industry Speaker (DIS) Program and the Distinguished Lecturer (DL) Program. Please note that the Distinguished Industry Speaker positions will supplement the regular Distinguished Lecturer Program.

Researchers from UC Berkeley have developed a deep learning model that can automatically transfer your font style. The model is named multi-content generative adversarial network (MC-GAN).

Speaker age and gender classification is one of the most challenging problems in speech processing. Recently with developing technologies, identifying a speaker age and gender has become a necessity for speaker verification and identification systems such as identifying suspects in criminal cases, improving human-machine interaction, and adapting music for awaiting people queue.
Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMRI) has been proven to be a valuable source of diagnostic information concerning heart health. One application, myocardial blood flow (MBF) quantification using first-pass contrast-enhanced myocardial perfusion, has aided the detection of coronary artery disease and provides an accurate evaluation of myocardial ischemia, an identifier of coronary artery stenosis.
