Below are the actions that have been approved by the MGA Board in relation to the Section - Student Branch Connection.  

The IEEE Signal Processing Society Malaysia Chapter has been selected as the recipient of the 2018 Chapter of the Year Award!

Please be advised that IEEE gauges the vitality of an OU by tracking how many meetings are reported during the year through vTools. If an OU reports "0" meetings for three consecutive years the OU/Chapter is placed on a dissolution list that is reviewed at the November Board Meeting.

A new online portal is available for ordering Membership Development (MD) materials. Volunteers now have the ability to customize the quantities and items included to support in recruiting new members, retaining those whose membership has lapsed, and recovering former members.

IEEE SPS has built a streamlined mechanism for employers to add a job announcement by simply filling in a simple job opportunity submission Web form related to a particular TC field. The IEEE Signal Processing Society continues to track emerging technical areas. As a result, the Society has decided to create two new SPS Technical Interest Profile (TIP) Code categories in the fields of Data Science and Autonomous Systems to keep pace with the expanding technical disciplines.

The fourth edition of SS12 ASIA: AGE OF INNOVATION 2018, a Coding and Making Challenge organized by Madras IEEE Education Society, was hosted in NSBM (National School of Business Management) Green University Town, Homagama, Colombo, Sri Lank.

The marriage of ever-more sophisticated signal processing and wireless communications has led to compelling “tele-presence” solutions—at the touch of a dialing key.

Three new Members-at-Large will take their seats on the IEEE Signal Processing Society Board of Governors beginning 1 January 2019 and will serve until 31 December 2021. Eight candidates competed for the three Member-at-Large positions.
