Duty Location: Newport, RI

JOB SUMMARY: This position is in the Scientific and Professional (ST) criteria.   The ST members are involved in the performance of high-level research and development in the physical, biological, medical, or engineering sciences, or a closely-related field.   ST members are expected to possess a graduate degree, significant research experience, and a national or international reputation in their field.   ST positions are in the competitive service.

This position is an interdisciplinary position that may be filled either in the 0855 (Electronics Engineer) or 1310 (Physicist) occupational series. This ST position supports the Navy’s efforts by providing the technical consultation necessary to coordinate the development and integration of innovative technology in active and passive acoustic signal processing for undersea warfare of the future.

KEY REQUIREMENTS: Must be a U.S. Citizen
