We are in the early days of 3D television and 3D movie proliferation. In the June meeting of the IEEE Signal Processing Santa Clara Valley Chapter, the participants exploited the next generation 3D television demo, with Ingemar Jansson (the founder of HDI US, Inc.) and Edmund Sandburg (the inventor of the HDI Laser 3D HDTV projection system).

SAMIEEE is a web-based ad-hoc query tool that provides volunteers with the ability to gather useful information regarding their Chapter's membership data.

The International Conference on Communication and Signal Processing (ICCSP 2011), hosted by the National Institute of Technology Calicut, Kerala (India) and technically co-sponsored by IEEE Region 10 & IEEE Kerala Section, will be held in Calicut, Kerala, India from Feb. 10 to Feb. 12, 2011.

Jointly hosted by Signal Processing Chapter, Communications Chapter, and Engineering in Medicine and Biology Chapter of the IEEE Vancouver Section, an IEEE mini-symposium on engineering for biomedical applications took place in Vancouver, Canada, on May 28, 2010.

The Hong Kong Chapter of IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) organized the 4th Signal Processing Postgraduate Forum on Saturday, April 24 2010 at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.  Every two years, the SPS Hong Kong Chapter organizes the Forum as an opportunity for the local signal processing research students to get together and discuss their research.

The IEEE Signal Processing Washington Chapter organized a "Signal Processing Night" on 19 April 2010 on the College Park campus of the University of Maryland. This event provided local IEEE Signal Processing Society members with an opportunity to showcase their research and to learn about the latest advancement made by researchers in the Washington metro area.
