CALL FOR PAPERS
"RECENT ADVANCES IN ADAPTIVE METHODS FOR FREQUENCY ESTIMATION WITH APPLICATIONS"
SPECIAL ISSUE OF THE INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF ADAPTIVE CONTROL AND SIGNAL PROCESSING
Published by Wiley
Announcement: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/acs.2486/abstract
Frequency estimation of time-varying sinusoidal signals is an important topic in science and engineering that has found applications in many fields. The purpose of this Special Issue is to present new and effective methods for periodic signal parameter estimation together with their use in various application areas, including biomedicine, communications, audio and music analysis and synthesis, environmental data, control systems, active noise and vibration control, and power systems. The special issue seeks to offer broad coverage of the field including most recent developments in both theory and applications. Submissions of comprehensive overviews of methodological advances are strongly encouraged, as well as papers dealing with new and emerging applications. Given the focus of the journal, papers should include at least some adaptive element (e.g., the tracking of a time-varying frequency).
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the following:
* Advances in periodic signal parameter estimation,
* Instantaneous frequency estimation,
* Phase-locked loop methods,
* Frequency-locked loop methods.
All submissions will be reviewed following the standard procedures of the journal, and acceptance will be limited to papers requiring only moderate revision.
Papers will be published in a virtual special issue arrangement where the special issue papers are published in regular issues as they are approved, but can be accessed from a web page which collects together all of the papers of the issue once it is complete. Papers will therefore not have to wait until all papers of the special issue are accepted before they can be published.
Submission details
Prospective authors are requested to submit their manuscript online by 30 September 2014, to http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/acsp-wiley
Follow the instructions under ‘Author Centre’ and select manuscript type ‘Recent advances in adaptive methods for frequency estimation with applications’ when submitting.
It would be helpful if you could inform the guest editors in advance of your intention to submit a paper.
