Attend GlobalSIP 2015 With SPS Travel Support

Are you a practicing engineer who would like to attend GlobalSIP 2015? Talk to your local Chapter Chair about how you can qualify for travel support to attend the conference in Orlando, Florida, USA this December!

The SPS Executive Committee recently approved an initiative that would provide limited Society support for SPS Chapters to send up to two members each to the IEEE Global Conference on Signal and Information Processing (GlobalSIP) from 14-16 December 2015.

Eligible candidates are required to be IEEE Signal Processing Society members in good standing, as well as current practicing engineers, to be considered for the travel grant support. If you are interested in representing your Chapter, contact your local Chapter Chair and ask them to submit a nomination. Full details about the nomination process are as follows:

Travel grant support will be $600 for individuals traveling within the same continent and $1200 for travel between continents. The Committee will review the nominations and determine if travel support will be awarded.  Nominations must be submitted no later than 1 October 2015.

To submit a nomination, please email the Chapters Review Committee at sp.sc.chapterreview@ieee.org with the following information:

  • Chapter Name
  • Submitter’s Name and Contact Information
  • Candidate’s Name
  • Candidate’s IEEE Member Number
  • Candidate’s Contact Information
  • Statement of why the candidate is being nominated
  • Brief Biography

If you have any questions about these or other SPS or Chapter activities, please contact SPS Membership and Content Administrator, Jessica Perry, at jessica.perry@ieee.org.
