Upgrades to Google+ and Google Hangouts
IEEE members and volunteers using GoogleApps@ should take note of the following upgrades to Google+ and Google Hangouts:
- On 12 September 2016, Hangouts on Air moved from Google+ to YouTube Live. New Hangouts on Air will need to be scheduled using YouTube Live. Note that if you have existing events scheduled to happen after this time, please move them to YouTube Live.
- Later in 2016, Google+ will become a Google Apps core service. It will be simpler and faster to use. In order to make Google+ simpler and faster to use, lightly-used functionality was removed. Please see the functional changes for details.
