New Benefits for SPS Student Branch Chapters

Effective immediately, all SPS Student Branch Chapters are now eligible to request up to $500 annually to help support invited speakers, career development workshops, social functions in connection to Student Branch Chapter meetings, and other related activities. Expenses will be paid on a reimbursement basis, with the exception of the first year a Student Branch Chapter requests the funding.

In order to receiving funding, Student Branch Chapters must:

SPS Student Branch Chapters are also welcome and encouraged to participate in the Society’s Distinguished Lecturer and Distinguished Industry Speaker programs. If there is an SPS Chapter local to the Student Branch Chapter, the two can coordinate to invites a speaker through the Distinguished Lecturer/Distinguished Industry Speaker Programs. If there is no local SPS Chapter, Student Branch Chapters can appeal directly to the Society for coverage through the DL/DIS program.
