Rochester chapter of the IEEE SPS jointly sponsors the Western New York Image Processing Workshop

On November 14 2011, the  2011 Western New York Image Processing Workshop (WNYIPW) was hold in Rochester Institute of Technology. The workshop, now in its 14th year, is jointly sponsored by the Rochester chapter of the IEEE Signal Processing Society

and the Rochester chapter of the Society for Imaging Science and Technology.

Different from the major international conferences and workshops, WNYIPW is a unique venue for promoting image processing research in Western New York area. It facilitates interaction between local academic researchers, industry researchers, and more important, the students.  This Year, the panel discussed “Academic and Industrial Perspectives on the Question: How can a PhD add value to a career”. The workshop is supported by the IEEE SPS, IS&T, the Center for Electronic Imaging and Systems and by generous gifts from Xerox and Leuze Electronics. For more details, please visit https://meetings.vtools.ieee.org/meeting_view/list_meeting/8581.
